My name is Don Agel and I am the owner of Agel's Home Inspections, and also Right Call Construction in Fayetteville NC. I have not only two decades of construction experience in multiple trades of residential, commercial, industrial, and special military applications, but am a highly trained inspector who strives to be the best in my field. I am also a fully certified and trained mold remediation specialist. Furthermore, I generally perform over three times the continuing education hours required as well as remaining hands on in all of my contract work to ensure the highest level of perfection in all the services I perform. I entered this field after hearing dozens of horror stories from home buyers in this area which were not informed of severe deficiencies in their home prior to purchasing. One homeowner thought he had purchased a 4000 sqft. home but when 2000+ sqft. was constructed of pressed cardboard as wall, roof and floor sheathing which needed to be either replaced or removed due to severe problems such as sagging, collapse, and mold growth he became a victim more than a happy homeowner. He stated that he had paid nearly $400 for the inspection from a franchise company who completely missed this. Another homeowner had to have 31 floor joists and 3 main girders replaced and the entire floor framing system treated due to a wood destroying fungus which was missed by his home inspector. $300 was the cost of being misinformed by his inspector.
